Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Gourmap, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy.
The service
Gourmap is a mobile app for logging restaurant visits with photos, video, ratings, and notes, and for sharing them with friends. Gourmap is free of charge. Restaurant information is provided for informational purposes and may be inaccurate or out of date.
Your account
You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, video, and text you post. You grant Gourmap a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and distribute that content within the service so that it can be shown to you and, subject to your privacy setting, to other users. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where it has been shared by others or is needed to comply with the law.
You must own or have the right to share everything you post, including the people who appear in your photos and video.
Acceptable use
You agree not to post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or that infringes someone else's rights, and not to impersonate others, spam, scrape, or attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer the service. We have no tolerance for abusive content or behaviour. You can report content or block users from within the app; we review reports and remove content that breaches these terms, usually within 24 hours, and may suspend or terminate accounts that do so.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You may stop using Gourmap and delete your account at any time.
Disclaimer and liability
Gourmap is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us, which is currently nothing.
Third-party services
Gourmap uses maps and restaurant data from third parties such as Mapbox and Google. Their terms apply to that data. The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, whose terms also apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of The Netherlands. Disputes will be brought before the competent court in The Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
Changes
We may change these terms. We will announce material changes in the app; continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
